Narrative

Sometime after their marriage prob. around 1834, John & Louisa moved to Magnolia near Hodgenville, Larue County, KY and ran a distillery on their farm up to the start time of the Civil War when government taxes where imposed. Many of the children died of consumption that had come down in the Hagan Line. Frank and Emeline died the same week of "flux".

They then moved to farm in Davies County, KY where he died shortly afterward in 1869. Louisa then left the farm with the two youngest children (of twelve) to live with her brothers nearby. She remarried to Wilson Woodrum, a sweetheart before her marriage to John.
