d'Arundel, 1st Lord Arundel, John
| Birth Name | d'Arundel, 1st Lord Arundel, John |
| Gender | male |
| Age at Death | about 28 years, 11 months, 15 days |
Narrative
John held the office of Marshal of England in 1377. He was created 1st Lord Arundel [England by writ] on 4 August 1377, although it is possible to argue that John was summoned as Lord Mautravers, in right of his wife, and that no new title of Lord Arundel was created by this summons. He was commander of the naval expedition to aid the Duke of Brittany, where he defeated the French fleet off Cornwall. He held the office of Marshal of England on 9 April 1378. John died in a shipwreck on the Irish Sea.
