David Hanrahan remembers his father David Sr bringing his great-aunt Lillian King (daughter of Michael Hanrahan) out to their house in New Hyde Park, NY, from the Bronx. David Sr worked for the telephone company in the Bronx. David says she always brought inappropriate gifts for him and his brothers. "They were always age and gender inappropriate but we always looked forward to her visits. We assumed she would get our ages and sexes correct the next time she came. That never happened."

I was born on Parker Street in the Bronx and after our move to Long Island around 1955 would frequently go for extended visits to the Bronx with my cousins the McCanns. I would occasionally meet with a Flood cousin whose first name I can not recall.
I also went, as a young child to my grandfather's home [James Hanrahan] on White Plains Road in the Bronx and remember parties in the basement (lower level garage?)
When my mother was having my sister Laura, I attended Saint Raymond's school [Bronx] for a few weeks as a guest of my cousin Thomas McCann.

The Parker St address is 1865 Parker St. That was the home of David's maternal grandparents. He and his parents lived there with his grandmother for a short time. One of David's memories was told to him by his mother Ann, who said that grandma Mary would threaten to "toss him out the window" when he was crying. She was no doubt harassed with such a full household.
