Aedh 'Reamhar' O'Neill, King of Ulster also went by the nick-name of Aedh 'Reamhar' (or in English, 'the Stout'). In 1344 he deposed his kinsman Henry O'Neill (of the Clannaboy branch) with aid of Ralph de Ufford, Justiciar Ireland. He gained the title of King of Ulster in 1344. In 1345 he was defeated.
