Narrative

Lachlan held the position of 17th Chief of Clan Chattan in 1550. The forfeiture of 1550 was reversed in his favor. In 1560 he surrendered his lands into the hands of Mary, Queen of Scots, and received a regrant of his lands in Lochaber and of the stewartry and bailiary of the whole Lordship of Lochaber.
