Narrative

Guy was appointed Knight in 1296. He fought in the Battle of Falkirk in 1298. He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Warwick [E., 1088] on 9 June 1298. He fought in the Siege of Carlaverock in 1300. He held the office of Hereditary Sheriff of Worcestershire. He held the office of Pantler at the King's Coronation. His marriage to Lady Isabel de Clare was annulled. He fought in the Siege of Stirling Castle in 1304. In February 1306/7 he was granted Barnard Castle, County Durham. He was one of the chief opponents of Piers Gaveston.
