Narrative
Elizabeth's marriage to Edward IV Plantagenet, King of England was annulled on 25 June 1483 by an Act of Parliament, known as the 'Titulus Regius', because of King Edward's alleged precontract to Eleanor Butler. The marriage was ultimately recognized as valid in October 1485 by the first Act of Parliament of King Henry VII.
