Narrative
Alexander fought in the Battle of Stirling Bridge, as Hereditary Standard-Bearer. He held the office of Constable of Dundee on 29 March 1298, by charter as a reward for his military services. In 1306 he joined King Robert I. He fought in the Battle of Methven, where he was captured by the English. He died on 4 August 1306 at York, Yorkshire, England, hung, drawn and quartered.
