Narrative
In 1305 Sir Adam represented Scotland at a Council at Westminster. He held the office of Justiciar of Lothian between 1305 and 1312, under English rule. After 1314 he supported King Robert I. He was granted the territorial Lordship of Strathbogie, forfeited by the Earl of Athole. He was Ambassador to convey the Declaration of Arbroath to the Pope in Rome. He also had two sons in holy orders.
